AM-PBS Polo Team Wins the Ladies Charity Cup 2024

The Al Habtoor Polo Club was painted pink for the sixth edition of the Ladies Charity Cup 2024, held in partnership with the Al Jalila Foundation, as AM-PBS triumphed over Orbis to claim the championship title.


This unique polo event, supporting breast cancer awareness, showcased the strength and unity of women in sports. Three teams—Pink Soldiers, Pink Warriors, and Pink Fighters—competed in a round-robin in the Subsidiary Final. Here’s the lineup:
 

  • Pink Soldiers: Sarkis Gabrielani, Giedreus, Hani Jabshe, Tommy Iriarte
  • Pink Warriors: Otto Torrealba, Freddy Leyland, Juan Cruz Guevarra, Tomate Palacios
  • Pink Fighters: Khalaf Al Habtoor, Khalifa Maktoum, JJ Diaz Alberdi, Juan Cruz Guevarra


The Subsidiary Final crowned Pink Fighters as the winner, with Pink Warriors as the runner-up.


In the main final, AM-PBS faced off against Orbis in a thrilling match. Lineups were as follows:

AM-PBS: Petra Spanko (0), Sandra Schneider (0), Sheikha Alya Al Maktoum (0), Pali Urquiza (4)
Orbis: Kim Roche (0), Karim Drif (-1), Sarkis Gabrelian (0), Tommy Iriarte (4)


AM-PBS emerged victorious, winning with a close score of 5-4.


The afternoon was packed with activities, including clinical breast consultations, market stalls, food vendors, children’s activities, and pony rides.


Ms. Dalia Saif, Marketing Manager for Beverly Hills Polo Club—a California brand combining Hollywood’s elegance with the thrill of polo—presented the awards. Sandra Schneider earned the title of Most Valuable Player, while Best Playing Pony was awarded to Bauti from the Habtoor Polo Team, ridden by Kim Roche.
